The sapphire windows -known in some clinic as lenses- are the latest & most durable window edition for handpiece & fiber protection, it prevents the entrance & accumulation of burnt hair debris and/or dust particles into the handpiece, hence, elongating its lifetime.
Your laser windows need to be periodically cleaned & changed when needed to ensure a full transmission of laser energy & avoid laser reflections into the optical fiber.
